Grilled Banana S’mores

In our house we love to use the BBQ for meals but we had never considered using it to make a sweet treat until recently, when I was talking with my dad. Growing up we were always camping and my favourite thing my parents made on the campfire were Banana Boats. Now we don’t camp as much as I would like but I was extremely really excited when my Dad suggested making them on the grill. Let me just tell you that they were to die for and now they are a favourite for my boys too! So without further delay let me introduce you to our new favourite: Grilled Banana S’mores.

Grilled Banana S’mores

Prep Time 5-10 min
Cook Time 10 min
Ready In  20 min
Yields  2 servings

    • 5 Tablespoons of Mini Marshmallows (8-10 marshmallows)
    • 5 Tablespoons of Chocolate Chips
    • 5 Tablespoons Graham Crackers – crushed
    • 1 banana – I prefer larger ones

    1. Pre-heat your grill to medium to medium-high heat.
    2. Slice your banana lengthwise.
    3. Gently open your banana to make an opening so you have somewhere to stuff all of your goodies.
    4. Place your banana on your sheet of tin foil.
    5. Stuff your banana with the chocolate chips, graham crackers and marshmallows.
    6. Wrap the tin foil around your banana and place on the grill.
    7. Carefully open the tin foil (watch for steam!) and check if your marshmallows and chocolate have melted. This will take approximately 7 to 8 minutes.
    8. Once complete, remove from the barbecue. Unwrap, grab a spoon and dive in! (Be Careful, Banana S’mores may be hot!)
